Carli Harper-Penman

Carli is an Associate Director at Content Coms. She works with us on projects that require strategic comms expertise including public affairs, stakeholder engagement, policy and leadership and parliamentary lobbying.

With a career spanning 20+ years, she is one of the best-respected strategy and communications experts in her field. Much of her experience has come from working ‘in-house’ helping businesses with social purpose become more operationally effective, grow and be heard by policy makers.

Her policy passions are housing and the built environment, science and infrastructure, so much so that she co-authored our White Paper ‘Housing Fit for the Future’ in 2021 – and she shares many of our own interests in more human-centric and sustainable buildings.

Carli is a non-executive director for two housing associations, and a former local authority councillor in London. She won the inaugural Communications Professional of the Year award at the Women In Social Housing Awards.

A graduate of English Literature from Queen Mary, University of London, she also has an MA from Goldsmith’s College and PGDip in Politics from the University of Hull.

Prior to going in to consultancy (Carli is the Founding Director of our partner agency Awe & Sonder), she worked for Sage Housing, The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Moat, Shaw Trust and the League Against Cruel Sports.

Carli is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
