Kate Turner

Associate Director

Kate is a communications specialist with over 12 years’ experience in renewable energy – and brings a host of specialist skills and knowledge to our energy team. After nine years in the Comms team at green energy supplier Good Energy, Kate began working with renewable energy developers on their communications and stakeholder engagement strategies.

Her interests include:

  • All things solar, onshore and offshore wind
  • Green hydrogen
  • The clean energy transition


Kate has managed communications on many ground-breaking renewable energy projects, including repowering the UK’s first wind farm at Delabole, and launching the first local tariff for the community there. More recently, she has helped deliver 165MW of new solar projects, and 150MW of battery energy storage in the UK and is currently working on a further 120MW of solar. She also managed communications for Octopus Hydrogen including securing national coverage and podcast opportunities. Kate is an award-winning communicator who loves helping to deliver the innovative projects needed to tackle climate change.

Before developing her career in renewable energy, Kate spent five years at Imperial College London managing higher education projects. She has a MSc in Responsible Tourism Management from Leeds Met University and an MSc in Geography from Oxford University.
