Bristol offers £10k for community energy projects

Source: Energy Live News

Community groups in Bristol are being offered a share of £10,000 for sustainable energy projects.

They can apply for projects that support local people to reduce their energy use, move towards cleaner and renewable sources of energy or take measures that can help them meet their energy needs affordably.

Bristol City Council is providing the funds through the Bristol Community Energy Fund (BCEF), which was created in November last year to support local projects.

It aims to help communities boost the use of renewables, cut carbon emissions and save money on their energy bills.

Applications for the funding must be submitted by 31st March 2016.
