Telling stories that make history.

This project for Norstead – an M&E contractor owned by Metnor Group – is the sort of job that only comes along once in a while. We were asked to tell the story of the build of Royal Holloway University’s new £54M building; named for the suffragette Emily Wilding Davison.

And so, We Built This was born. Stunning photographs by project photographer Simon West sit alongside our powerful, moving storytelling. As each page is turned, the project unfolds in words and images as we tell the story of the build itself and its historical context. We Built This clearly showcases the Emily Wilding Davison building and the important role that such places of learning play in the development of a modern and equal society.

Going above & beyond.

A copy of this book is now in the new building’s permanent library collection. It provided an additional point of focus at the Grand Opening – attended by the Princess Royal – in October 2017.

Content Coms immediately understood what we wanted to achieve and then went above and beyond to deliver that for us. We wanted our “We Built This” series of books to capture the story of our flagship projects and serve as a strong statement of Norstead’s commitment to excellence. Thanks to the Content Coms team this has been achieved.”
