Content Coms client wins major industry award for Best Sustainable Technology
Content Communications client, Solar Slate Ltd – a specialist at fitting solar panels to a slate roof – has scooped a coveted Build-It Award for one of its innovative range of integrated solar roof tiles and slates.
The Content Coms team helped Solar Slate to carefully sculpt its entry to the Build-It awards. We used our industry knowledge to ensure that every part of the entry met the award scheme criteria – with great results for Solar Slate.
The Build-It Awards ceremony – which was held at the Swindon Hilton hotel on 23rd October 2014 – brought together architects, manufacturers and suppliers in a celebration of the best products and technologies in the industry of self-build and renovation.
Solar Slate Multi, an affordable option for solar energy roof tiles, received an overwhelming vote in its favour in the Best Sustainable Technology or Product category, fending off competition from Dimplex, EcoStrata and Surface Power HONE.
While only a few years ago, solar roof tiles (also known as solar slates) were reserved for a select few, products such as Solar Slate Multi have gained traction in the market, bringing solar PV to a wider range of homeowners. The Build-It award win emphasises the technology’s importance in the self-build industry, and Solar Slate received a fantastic response at the awards ceremony.
