More cash to boost energy efficiency in London

A new round of funding worth nearly £11.5 million to expand a programme that makes homes and public buildings in London more efficient has been announced, reports Energy Live News.

The cash will be used to install energy-saving measures across the capital, with improvements including LED lighting, boilers, insulation and double glazing.

So far more than 400,000 homes and 350 public buildings including schools, hospitals, libraries and town halls have been retrofitted as part of Mayor Boris Johnson’s Retrofitting Programme.
