Queen’s speech puts energy and water reform on UK priority list

The Queen has announced in her speech at Parliament today (May 8, 2013) that the Government will commit to updating energy infrastructure and improving the water industry, writes Edie.net.

In an address less than 10 minutes long, the Queen set out the Government’s legislative programme for the year ahead, which includes a Bill to reform the energy and water industries.

Both Bill’s have received heavy criticism from industry, particularly the Energy Bill, which has been slammed for the delay in its development and for its lack of incentives for investors.
