Solar pioneer achieves best ever month for web visitors with content-led marketing

Content Communications’ client, Solar Slate Ltd has increased the number of visitors to its website by 60% following a highly-successful digital content marketing campaign.

Last month, Solar Slate, a company that offers innovative alternatives to solar PV including solar roof tiles, recorded 3,215 unique visits to its website – its best month of web traffic to date.

This new high of unique visitors follows a steady rise in visitor numbers over the last six months, since the company began taking a content-led approach to search engine optimisation (SEO), devised by Content Coms.page-0

Environmental marketing specialist, Content Coms, provides Solar Slate with regular news and blog content, which incorporates relevant search terms – such as solar in conservation areas and solar roof tiles manufacturers – in order to boost the company’s visibility on Google.

Previously, the Solar Slate website averaged less than 2,000 unique visits a month, but since the Content Coms team began filling the website with interesting and informative content, visitor numbers have risen by 60%.

Joanna Watchman, Managing Director of Content Coms, says: “This is proof positive that the way to get your website – and your company – noticed is through good content. Content that can be shared; content that’s rated by Google; content that people actually want to read. Potential customers are now able to get easy-to-digest information, written in a warm and friendly blog style, from the Solar Slate website – and the visitor numbers reflect the value this holds.”

She adds: “Solar Slate is an example of a company that’s not afraid to take a bold and content-centric approach to marketing. Solar Slate also recently won a major industry award, with the Content Coms team writing the winning award entry. Remember: content comes in many forms, and good content can play a vital role in establishing your position in the market.”
