UK manufacturers explore green opportunities in China
Around a dozen small to medium-sized UK manufacturers of innovative technologies, such as fuel cells and 3-D printed filters, are to visit China this month to explore green business opportunities, reports Greenwise Business.
Picked because of their excellence in areas such as the use of alternative, greener substances in manufacturing and low carbon energy, the 13 firms will embark on a six-day mission to China next week courtesy of the Technology Strategy Board (TSB), the UK’s innovation agency.
They will visit the Chinese regions of Changsha, Guangzhou and Shanghai – all renowned for their heavy manufacturing.
The TSB said the aim of the mission was to highlight the UK’s sustainable manufacturing excellence and help UK SME manufacturers extend their international operations in China across a range of sectors including automotive, textiles, metallurgical and machine building.
