An internal comms programme that led to IOP accreditation
Client: Greenlite Lighting Solutions
For retail lighting maintenance provider Greenlite, some of its most important work is repeat business from existing clients. But the company knew that clients would only keep coming back if they had a good (no, outstanding!) experience with Greenlite.
Content Coms helped Greenlite to produce an internal communications toolkit centred around a company initiative called The Greenlite Experience: a pledge to be outstanding at all times.
At the heart of this toolkit was a ‘staff bible’, written and designed by Content Coms. Given to every member of the team, this staff manual explained the initiative in plainspoken, practical terms.

Greenlite’s mission statement and company values were clearly outlined.
- ‘Do’s and don’ts’
Simple advice was included on how to respond to tricky situations.
- A light-hearted tone
A conversational tone and jargon-free writing made sure the staff manual actually got read!
- Crisp, colourful design
Artworked by our design team, the document was given a design in line with Greenlite’s corporate style.
The Greenlite Experience staff manual means that all staff now know exactly the type of (outstanding) behaviour that’s expected of them. As a result of this outstanding behaviour, retail lighting solutions specialist Greenlite has developed a very strong track record for retaining clients for repeat business.
Following its internal comms programme, Greenlite also achieved the Investors in People (IIP) standard – a government-backed accreditation that relates to good people management. The IIP Specialist who carried out the assessment praised the development of The Greenlite Experience, in particular.
