April 2015: Energy, Enviro and Industry News Round-Up

A few words from the editor…

A belated but Happy Easter to all of you… It’s ‘that time’ again. Yup, it’s time for the Content Coms media & market intel round up for April 2015. This month has seen some interesting ‘happenings’ including the sale of 80% of lighting giant Phillips’s lumiLeds business for a stonking 2.8 billion dollars.
Plus, there’s plenty of news from the UK too – including a fascinating (and worrying) survey which says three quarters of businesses captured under ESOS are yet to start their survey process. Why? I can’t imagine – apart from inertia and a market capacity issue. But, in terms of guidance on ESOS, there’s plenty of advice out there, after all – which leads me to flag up our top news item about the ESOS Hub which is on the shortlist for a 2Degrees award. We’re delighted! However, The Hub needs your votes (VOTE VOTE VOTE here)! Aside from this, there’s plenty more stories from the worlds of energy, environment and industry – just scroll down.

Wishing you a very happy post-Easter week.

Joanna Watchman – and the Content Coms team.
